Candace has been with the firm since 1995, serving initially as administrative assistant and now as office administrator. Some of her duties include: responding to inquiries from clients, billing and accounts receivable, and collection administrative matters.

Marsha Shapiro is the firm’s bankruptcy paralegal and she has been employed with the firm for over 15 years and has worked with Attorney Weiner since 1994. Her primary responsibility is assisting Attorney Weiner in the handling of all Chapter 7 Panel Trustee matters. Ms. Shapiro also works with Attorney Girvan. Her duties include the drafting of pleadings and motions, responding to inquiries from attorneys, clients, creditors and the courts.

Zach joined the firm in August 2024 as a full-time law clerk, where he provides critical support to Attorneys Weiner and Girvan in the areas of bankruptcy, litigation, and collections. His responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and discovery, preparing mechanic’s liens, assisting with settlements and releases, and supporting case management. Zach also helps analyze complex legal issues, ensure timely filings, maintain organized case files, and assist with trial preparation and courtroom support when needed.
Zach is a recent graduate of Suffolk University Law School and is currently pending admission to the Massachusetts bar. Through his work at the firm, he has developed practical experience across multiple areas of civil practice and continues to contribute to the efficient handling of client matters.
Before pursuing a legal career, Zach served with distinction as a Senior Special Forces Medical Sergeant in the United States Army, retiring in 2015 after multiple combat deployments. For his exemplary service as a Green Beret, he was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart, reflecting his courage, discipline, and dedication. His military experience shaped his strong analytical skills, adaptability, and ability to perform under pressure qualities he now brings to his work on behalf of the firm’s clients.

Ben joined the firm in December of 2024 as our collection paralegal. He assists Attorneys Weiner and Girvan in all litigation/collection-related matters. His duties include: drafting legal pleadings and correspondence for court including small claims complaints and applications for supplementary process examinations; drafting settlement agreements, mechanic's liens, releases and other correspondence to clients, sheriffs, courts and defendants; negotiating settlements and payment plans; skip tracing and asset searches and maintaining the firm calendar on collection files for payments and scheduling of court appearances.
Prior to joining the firm Ben worked as a site manager for a local storage facility where he was in charge of all operations including maintaining the property, renting the units and insuring payment of monthly storage fees. Ben also has worked as a legal assistant for Springfield Law Firm which concentrated in personal injury.
